Here it directly addresses the disbelievers of Mecca who approached Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and tried to bribe him with wealth and hand in marriage to any women in their tribe on the condition that he does not speak badly of their gods. The theme or subject points itself to being a Meccan Surah.
